Strategic and creative thinkers, with a meticulous attention to detail, our team takes pride in creating memorable and immersive events. Our passion is matched only by our commitment to improve, innovate and create the best event, every time.
David Jackson has been a Director of Solterbeck Events since 2008. He is arguably one of Australia’s leading experts in sales incentives and has led the creation of many performance models adopted by some of the world’s most successful companies.
He remains an active voice in the industry; currently a convener of AHRIs Performance and Reward Network and host of Marcast for Marketing Magazine.
A father of four, in his ‘spare’ time you might find him on some of the world’s best cycle routes.
Chair and Founding Partner
As Chair and Founding Partner of Solterbeck Events, Sue has 30 years of experience consulting to companies on recognising and rewarding their employees and business partners. Her focus has always been to deliver outcomes beyond the immediate experience of an event. She’s built a team with an ability and enviable reputation to motivate people to improve their performance and produce better business results for clients. Having managed over 1,000 events, Solterbeck Events is regarded as one of Australia’s leading incentive travel, conference and event management companies.
Sue’s been a member of the global Entrepreneurs Organisation, a finalist for the Telstra Business Women’s Award and Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. An avid world traveller, you might find her doing a bit of yoga or indulging in anything ‘artsy’.
An industry leader who’s worked domestically and internationally, Belinda’s experience includes senior leadership and operational roles at Merck Sharp & Dohme, InterContinental Hotel Doha, Hayman Island Resort and, more recently, Regional Director for American Express Meetings & Events Asia Pacific.
With a reputation for category innovation, client delivery, and building and nurturing high-performance teams, she brings her proven strategic and business capabilities to Solterbeck Events.
Belinda loves to combine 5* luxury with remote Australian Wilderness experiences as often as possible and aims to stay at all properties listed with ‘Luxury Lodges of Australia’. When she is not leading a high-performance team, you can find her at their country property, either relaxing by the fire or maintaining the property and splitting firewood.
Jodie initially qualified as a travel consultant but quickly found her true calling in finance, discovering the joys of Excel and balancing transactions.
After 7 years in an Indigenous Family Support organisation in Adelaide, a move to Melbourne (for love) lead to a change in focus with a small, multi-national publicly listed company, offering an introduction into the joys of multi-currency transactions.
From there, Jodie followed her then boss to Solterbeck Events where the past 9 years has seen her develop into our Finance Manager (with the occasional detour into assisting the team onsite with event and program delivery).
Outside of the office, Jodie can be found going quietly crazy over just how much her son talks, in her garden, enjoying brunch, and on the odd occasion, in the recording studio and on stage as a backing vocalist in a folk band.

Group Account Director
A travel and event industry veteran of 16 years and counting, Jodie has been at the very foundation of so many of our most successful programs and events. In her time with Solterbeck Events, Jodie has delivered programs on every continent except Antarctica (and she’s working on ticking that box) and retains a passion for finding the right fit for each program’s needs.
Jodie started at Solterbeck Events as a Travel Manager and has progressed through the ranks. Now as Group Account Director she is responsible for the management of major client events and the mentorship of a team of staff. If there’s one way to describe Jodie and her delivery style, it is definitely that of an over achiever. Failure is never an option.
In between all the travel that Jodie undertakes on behalf of Solterbeck and our clients, Jodie also loves to travel for leisure, and couples that with photography, wine and food, sometimes combining all four at once.
An aviation industry leader, Patrick found his love for travel and aviation 20 years ago when he took to the skies as Cabin Crew. It was through his 13 years at Virgin Australia that Patrick was able to combine his love for people with his passion for aviation and operations management. Patrick worked his way through the ranks leading people and processes as Cabin Crew Manager and was an integral part of the leadership team launching Virgin Australia International in the role of International Ground Operations Manager. More recently Patrick led a high performing team and culture heading up Qatar Airways airport operations in Melbourne.
When Patrick isn’t enjoying time at home with his family, friends and his French Bulldog, he’s travelling the globe in search of the best beaches on the planet with Tulum, Mexico at the top of his list so far.
With nearly a decade of experience in planning experiential events, conferences, exhibitions and incentive travel, Rebecca Martin lived in England before making her way to Solterbeck Events via New Zealand and Sydney.
She’s previously worked with two large automotive brands and discovered that product launches and annual conferences were her cup of tea. As program director, she works primarily on international incentive programs, marrying up her love of travel and delivery of spectacular events.
Rebecca received the 2019 MEA Future Leader award in Victoria – a thoroughly deserved recognition of her work leading and mentoring staff, as well as an industry confirmation that her future is bright.
Rebecca is always on the move: she can literally walk for miles (and miles) as recently proven on a trekking trip in Nepal.
A love for organisation and travel led Event Manager Bianca Parker to achieve her Bachelor of Business, specialising in Tourism and Hospitality Management. Her experiences as a travel agent for 7 years have given her the passion to coordinate rock-solid delegate programs in various countries around the world.
Inspired by the world of wonderful destinations, when she isn’t working on making our events seamless and exciting, she’s brunching with friends and family, enjoying a nice drop of red and planning her next travel adventure.
As Event Manager with Solterbeck Events, Ellen Sexton has nearly a decade of government events experience behind her. Her methodical thinking and creativity is used to collaborate with our team, clients and partners to provide the most unique event concepts.
She holds a Bachelor of Business with a double major in Event Management and International Tourism Management. More recently, Ellen has been recognised Events Manager of the Year, receiving both the 2019 MEA state and national awards in this category.
In her spare time, Ellen is known to be curled up next to a fire reading a good book.
